The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long term care. As an LPN, you will work under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician to demonstrate knowledge of nursing principles and utilize appropriate age and population specific standards related to the physical and psychosocial needs of residents as per care plan.
- Demonstrate competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge
- Evaluate data reflective of resident's status and provide care needed
- Ensure health, comfort and safety of residents
- Contribute to assessment of residents and administer medications or treatments as ordered
You will also have the opportunity to work effectively with professional and supportive personnel as a member of an interdisciplinary care team, counsel residents, family members and/or resident advocate on prevention and treatment plans, and develop a self-care program based on resident education principles.
To be successful in this role, you must have a graduate degree from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse, associate degree in practical nursing preferred, and currently hold an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.
