$3000 SIGN ON BONUS
Good Shepherd Hospice is seeking a compassionate LPN to serve our patients and families in Wichita, KS and surrounding communities.
The Hospice LPN makes visits to supplement the nursing care needs of our patients/families.
- Full time position, three 12-hour shifts a week
- $3000 SIGN ON BONUS!
- Previous experience in hospice, home health, or geriatrics preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Responding to phone calls promptly
- Making visits as necessary
- Carrying out physician orders under the direction of a RN
- Informing the physician of changes in the patient’s condition and needs
- Communicating with medical professionals, the hospice team and others
- Maintaining accurate, up-to-date records
- Elevating necessary matters to the attention of the patient care manager
- Demonstrating strong communication and customer service skills
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- Minimum of one year of experience in hospice, home health or geriatric care preferred (but not required for the right candidate)
- Must be of high integrity including maintenance of confidential information including all patient records
- Works as a team player, following directions and adhering to defined care plans
- Demonstrated commitment to the hospice philosophy of care
- Can successfully pass background checks
- LPN-graduate of an accredited LPN program
- Current state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Valid driver’s license
