What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Worker position at Good Shepherd Village at Endwell?
Key Duties Include but are not limited to:
Responsible for ensuring the proper upkeep and functionality of facilities, equipment, and grounds, including snow removal. This position involves performing routine maintenance tasks. The Maintenance Worker I plays a key role in maintaining a safe and efficient environment by adhering to maintenance schedules and promptly addressing repair requests.
- Making minor repairs to equipment & completing work orders
- Maintain a high level of productivity in terms of work orders completed
- Maintaining security checks of all HVAC and Equipment rooms
- Integrity inspections of all equipment within these rooms
- Reporting of identified equipment failures or concerns
- Maintaining the established preventative maintenance programs
- Performing limited electrical functions such as: Light ballast, switches, fixtures, outlets, thermostats, light replacement
- follow facilities Lockout Tag Out program
- Performs repair and replacement tasks such as: Toilet valves, sink repair and minor drain cleaning, Swimming Pool operation
- Maintaining the cleanliness of buildings, shup and work areas
- Medical waste collection and authorized storage
- Hazardous waste collection and authorized storage
- Cleaning floors, walls, louvres, light fixtures and painting
- Snow and ice removal, use and maintenance of equipment
- Regular, reliable & dependable work attendance
