JOB SUMMARY:
The Jewelry Associate sorts and identifies all the Jewelry we receive at Goodwill. Through your knowledge of current trends, brands, background, and sheer judgment, you will be responsible for identifying items by category and prepare them for listing on our Ecommerce website, Shopgoodwill.com/md
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sort, evaluate, and test precious and non-precious metals and gems by use of provided tools
Authenticate, evaluate, research, and prepare jewelry items by creating brief product descriptions
Ability to identify specific designers and maker’s marks through use of web-based research
Meets or exceeds set production and listing goals
Maintains compliance with all safety and housekeeping practices
Promotes the mission and values of Goodwill
Performs additional duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Basic jewelry knowledge required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
.Medium - Lifting up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds. May be required to regularly stand for extended periods of time, walk, reach with hands/arms with full range of motion, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, push or pull. Regularly required to talk and hear. Frequently required to use hands and fingers to hold, handle and feel objects, knobs, keys and/or buttons.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The noise level is usually moderate.
