E-Commerce Team Member

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The E-Commerce Team Member is responsible for a variety of critical operational and online tasks. Including but not limited to reviewing donations for authenticity and value, online tracking, and processing, creating accurate online item listings to advertise and sell high value donations, pulling, packaging, and shipping of sold merchandise and providing excellent customer service at all times.

COMPENSATION:

Depending on experience and qualifications

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accepting and organizing stacks of heavy totes or containers using dollies or pallet jacks in a FIFO manner.
• Process merchandise.
• Writing clear and concise item listings that communicate all critical details about item to potential bidders/customers.
• Accurately uses grammar, spelling and punctuation in item listings.
• Ongoing development of personal product base of knowledge to reduce need for detailed research.
• Carefully photographs each item using department specifications and communicates all critical details about each item to potential bidders/customers.
• Safely package and ship each item in the most cost-effective manner to the correct customers.
• Respond to customer requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintains a positive, team-oriented relationship with management, peers, and subordinates.
• Ensure adherence to policies.
• Ensures work areas are maintained, organized, clean and Work areas are cleaned at the end of each day.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

• This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must meet attendance requirements.
• Must be able to sit or stand for up to 8 hours at a time.
• Must be able to multi-task, and work both rapidly and efficiently.
• Basic computer skills: search engine use for research, data entry.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to lift and carry 50lbs and be able bend and twist.
• Must be able to speak and type in English understand and follow directions well.
• Ability to develop personal product knowledge base.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior eCommerce or online selling experience or experience with thrift, pawn, or second-hand sales.
• Prior experience with online research for identifying collectibles.
• Prior experience writing for the web or other copywriting experience.
• Prior digital photography experience.
