What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Store Associate position at Goodwill of Western MO & Eastern KS?
Reporting to store Leadership, the Retail Store Associate is responsible for completing duties as assigned according to production and workflow standards, as well as ensuring a positive customer experience in both the front and back of the store.
Operational
- Maintaining appropriate security of cash and donated goods
- Operate register, as directed
- Complying to Agency policies and procedures
- Ensuring a high level of customer service both front and back
- Performing duties according to safety expectations and procedures
- Ensuring the physical safety of the back room and sales floor
- Communicating safety issues and concerns to ensure quick resolution
- Ability to operate a cash register and POS system
- Ability to count change, count down cash drawers and complete accompanying paperwork
- Greeting customers and accepting donation and issuing receipts
- General store upkeep including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, glass cleaning, and bathroom maintenance.
Qualifications
The Store Associate will be a proven leader with the following:
- Experience in customer service preferred
- Comfort with handling cash and operation of a cash register
- Ability to perform job duties safely
- High school diploma or equivalent is not required.
Salary : $23,400 - $29,600
