Position Description Summary/Purpose:

This position performs routine cleaning of interior areas of all University buildings. We are hiring for a Full-Time Custodian and have the following open position:

Riverside Magnet School:

• Full-Time Shift: Monday - Friday 9:00 am – 5:30 pm 

Essential Job Functions/Primary Responsibilities:

• Cleans, dusts, disinfects, vacuums, sweeps, mops as appropriate all interior areas of School buildings including offices, classrooms, conference rooms and learning centers, restrooms, cafeteria, computer rooms, laboratories, libraries, lounge areas, furniture, closets and windows.
• Tasks performed are standardized.
• Conducts all work in a safe manner and all work safety practices are followed.

Other Functions: 

• Performs similar or related work as required, directed or as situation dictates.
• Continues professional development and training; keeps current with trends.
• Assists other department staff as needed to promote a team effort.

• Knowledge of cleaning methods and procedures; knowledge of the materials, supplies and equipment used in cleaning activities

Qualifications

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Education, Training and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED with 1 to 2 weeks training
• Passing of pre-employment screening

Physical and Mental Requirements: 

Vision requirements:
