Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, LLP(GRSM50), the 14th largest law firm in the US by attorney headcount and the only firm with attorneys and offices in all 50 states, is seeking rising 2L’s, 3L’s, and first year attorneys awaiting bar results in a variety of litigation practice areas. Our Law Clerks work under the direction of the Office Managing Partners, Practice Group Leaders and/or Partners in preparing matters for hearing, depositions, trial, arbitration or mediation. Ideal candidates must be in the top 25% of their law school class. Applications are received based on referrals, the firm’s recruiting system, and advertisements posted on LinkedIn.
Our goal is to provide law clerks with a well-rounded experience consisting of practical work assignments, observation opportunities, and our firm’s culture and collaborative atmosphere. Many law clerks continue to work for the firm throughout law school, with the goal of becoming an associate when they graduate and pass the bar.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drafting correspondence, pleadings, opinion letters and other documents;
- Reviewing and analyzing documents for relevance and privilege;
- Preparing for, attending and summarizing depositions;
- Coordinating with witnesses;
- Communicating with clients, courts and other counsel with the supervision of assigned Partner;
- Billing their time to prepare them for when they become licensed attorneys; and
- Researching and writing legal arguments.
Qualifications and Expectations:
- Candidates must be enrolled in law school, in the top 25% of their class;
- Must be a rising 2L or 3L;
- Must be available to be in office on scheduled days;
- Responsive to work assignments and meets deadlines;
- Solid written and verbal communication skills; and
- Solid legal research and analysis skills.
The yearly salary range is between $80,000–$110,000 depending on location and experience.
These positions can be based in any of our U.S. offices with remote flexible options for successful candidates.
