Cheese Packaging & Sanitation Supervisor - Night Shift
This role leads daily packaging operations & weekly sanitation processes by enforcing company policies, driving productivity, and supporting employee performance. Responsibilities include supervising employees, resolving equipment and personnel issues, assisting with hiring and evaluations, and ensuring accurate documentation and quality standards are met.
Primary Responsibilities
- Understand, enforce, and comply with all company programs, systems, policies, and procedures.
- Lead, supervise, Train, and support employees to ensure productivity, efficiency, and safe operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment, process, and personnel issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Lead the interviewing and selection process for open positions, including communicating staffing needs and coordinating interview scheduling with the company recruiting professional.
- Adress employee conflict resolution, coaching, and performance improvement efforts in a timely and professional manner consistent with the company handbook.
- Conduct and document employee performance evaluations in accordance with company guidelines and provide ongoing support, coaching & feedback.
- Assist with completing Certificates of Analysis and maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Provide coverage in key operational roles as needed.
- Foster teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment within the department.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with day shift supervisors & management regarding operational performance, staffing, safety, quality issues, and department needs.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of cheese packaging operations preferred.
- Previous people leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Packaging or manufacturing operations leadership experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Schedule:
- Night Shift, Monday to Thursday with some Fridays & Weekends when needed.
- 6:00 pm to 6:00 am
Compensation: Depending on experience
