Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Experience & Service:
- Deliver exceptional hospitality and ensure a warm, inviting atmosphere for all guests
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally
- Develop and implement service standards to create a consistent guest experience
- Work closely with bar staff, security, and service teams to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
- Team Leadership & Staff Management:
- Recruit, train, and manage a motivated hospitality team including bar staff, servers, and support staff
- Schedule staff shifts and ensure proper staffing levels for events and peak times
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify training needs
- Foster a positive team culture, encouraging collaboration and professional growth
- Venue Operations:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Ensure all areas are clean, well-maintained, and comply with health and safety regulations
- Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with suppliers for inventory and orders (beer, food, and supplies)
- Maintain inventory controls and ensure proper storage of craft beer and other products
- Handle cash management, including daily reconciliation and financial reporting
- Event & Entertainment Management:
- Collaborate with the events team to coordinate live music, beer tastings, and special events
- Ensure smooth execution of events, working closely with artists, promoters, and staff
- Manage ticketing, crowd control, and security measures for live performances
- Assist with marketing initiatives, including promotions, social media, and event advertising
- Craft Beer Knowledge & Menu Development:
- Maintain a strong understanding of craft beer styles, trends, and brewing techniques
- Collaborate with the head bartender and kitchen team to curate a beer list that complements the venue's offerings
- Engage guests with beer knowledge and recommend pairings or new arrivals
- Work with suppliers and local breweries to create exclusive or seasonal beer offerings
- Proven experience in hospitality or venue management (preferably in a bar, brewery, or music venue setting)
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Passion for craft beer and live music, with knowledge of the local beer scene
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience managing events, live performances, or other entertainment
- Financial acumen, including budgeting, inventory control, and P&L management
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Beer Cicerone certification or equivalent craft beer knowledge
- Experience in marketing or promotions
- Knowledge of point-of-sale (POS) systems and venue management software
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in hospitality
