What are the responsibilities and job description for the Counter Person position at Gourmet burger shop?
We are a casual, family restaurant in downtown Gig Harbor. We are looking to hire a Counter Person! Hours vary, but shifts are usually 10am-3pm or 3pm-close (9pm).The Counter Person duties include:
Customer service (taking orders on a POS system) as well as phone orders (to-go).
-Handling cash & cards properly
-Running food to dining in and handing bagged to-go items to customers.
-Bussing tables (with assistance)
-Making milkshakes
-Adhering to all sanitary protocols set by the Health Department as well as our own cleanliness standards
-Opening or Closing duties (will be trained for either or both)
-Communicating with BOH for efficiency and quality (service, food, experience)
*Customer Service Skills are a must!
This position is fun and quick-paced, so it provides a challenge without the pressure of having to "hustle" a section. The atmosphere is relatively laid back and easy to adapt to. Hours are dependent on availability.

Pay: From $16.28 per hour
Expected hours: 18 – 28 per week
