Responsibilities:
- Assist with ambulation and transfers from and to bed, toilet, chair, stretcher
- Assist or feed residents as indicated, serve water and nourishment
- Offer and remove bedpans and/or urinals
- Keep incontinent residents clean and dry, change linens and make beds
- Give bed baths, tub baths, and provide skin care
- Assist residents to dress and undress
- Participate in bowel and bladder rehabilitation program of the resident
- Collect specimens and measure intake and output
- Take temperature, pulse, and respiration
- Observe residents and note physical condition, attitude, reactions, appetites
- Report changes or unusual findings to the Charge Nurse
- Clean equipment and maintain utility and service rooms
- Maintain professional attitude and appearance
- Follow organization and departmental policies and procedures
- Follow assigned safety, security, and fire procedures
- Report accidents or dangerous situations immediately
- Maintain confidentiality of organizational and resident information
