Responsibilities
As a Civil Litigation Defense Attorney, you will manage a diverse litigation docket and handle matters from inception through resolution. Responsibilities include:
- Managing a caseload of approximately 30-40 active matters
- Litigating cases through discovery, motion practice, mediation, and trial
- Conducting legal research and providing strategic recommendations to clients
- Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery responses
- Taking and defending depositions, preparing witnesses, and working with experts
- Collaborating with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members
The ideal Civil Litigation Defense Attorney will possess:
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active law license in good standing
- 3 years of civil litigation or insurance defense experience
- Strong research, writing, and advocacy skills
- Ability to independently manage a busy docket while contributing to a team environment
