Director of Nursing Job Summary
Our LTC facility is seeking a Director of Nursing with excellent management and organizational skills to lead our staff of nursing professionals and oversee patient care. In this role, you are responsible for coordinating all aspects of the nursing department, including compliance, medical records, and treatment planning. You must be a registered nurse (RN), ideally with prior supervisory experience at a skilled nursing facility. The Director of Nursing perfect candidate has a passion for helping patients, improving staff performance, and delivering consistent patient care at our facility.
Director Of Nursing Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of nurses and medical personnel to deliver quality patient care
- Interview, hire, and train employees and monitor their performance.
- Manage nursing staff schedules and workloads.
- Monitor and maintain nursing programs and activities in compliance with current policies and regulations.
- Use your nursing skills and knowledge to advise situations.
- Complete reporting and auditing requirements in a timely manner
Director Of Nursing Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN)
- Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in New York.
- Supervisory experience in a skilled nursing facility, hospital, or clinic(2 yrs preferred)
- CPR and first aid certification
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Outstanding organizational and Stress Management skills
