Sales Agronomist Purpose
To grow and manage sales in assigned territory while also providing leadership and oversight for all territory activities.
Sales Agronomist Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide tailored seed, fertilizer, and chemical recommendations to growers.
- Promote agronomy solutions and achieve annual sales goals.
- Maintain detailed records of fields, customers, and crop data.
- Scout fields to collect soil, seed, and plant samples for analysis.
- Collaborate with agronomists to stay updated on industry advancements and best practices.
- Create and deliver educational presentations to promote agronomy techniques.
- Ensure compliance with safety and company policies while fostering a positive work environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or related field preferred.
- 4 years of agronomy experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of agronomy products and services.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to solve practical problems and make effective decisions
- Regularly required to stand, walk, and handle equipment.
- Occasionally lift/move up to 100 pounds.
- Work in varied environments, including exposure to weather conditions and mechanical equipment.
- Exposure to outdoor conditions, mechanical equipment, and potential hazards.
- Safety is a priority, with required adherence to safety policies and training.
- Base salary of $70,000 - $100,000 with bonus potential.
