Seeking full-time Music teacher (K5 – 12) for the 2022-2023 school year at a private Christian school in West Palm Beach, FL.
Candidate must have a passion for serving God in the context of education. A Bachelors degree in Music education is required. Job requirements: Plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic and spiritual potential. Specific responsibilities include:
- Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences;
- Prepare students for performances (Veterans Day, Christmas, Grandparents Day as applicable)
- Develop schemes of work and lessons plans;
- Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities;
- Prepare a safe classroom environment for class activities and instruction;
- Provide and expose students to a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities;
- Identify and select different instructional resources and methods to meet students' varying needs;
- Use relevant technology to support instruction;
- Observe and evaluate students' performance and development;
- Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school;
- Keep up-to-date records of grades, lesson plans, and assignments;
- Communicate necessary information regularly to administration, colleagues, students and parents regarding student progress and student needs;
- Keep up-to-date with developments in subject areas, teaching resources and methods and make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities;
- Participate in professional development classes to stay abreast of teaching strategies and methods;
- Live out faith in a way that facilitates discipleship, mentoring, and relationship building with students; and
- All other duties as assigned by the BCS administration.
