Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview: Grace Harbour, Inc., a provider of behavioral health services, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in Georgia to join our team on a part-time basis (20 hours per week). This role involves performing essential nursing duties in a behavioral health setting, with no prior psychiatric experience required.

Location: Newnan, Georgia

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, including taking medical histories.
• Monitor and record vital signs to ensure the health and safety of clients.
• Assist prescribers in the delivery of care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support client health outcomes.

Work Schedule:

• Mondays: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Tuesdays: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Thursdays: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Compensation: $40 per hour

Qualifications:

• Current and valid Georgia license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Experience in behavioral health is not required but is a plus
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Considerable knowledge and skill in the application of theory, practices, principles, and techniques of the nursing profession; ability to understand, interpret and relate oral and written instructions; ability to explain medical instructions in consumer and their families/some ability to organize and supervise the work of other professional and nonprofessional employees; considerable knowledge of the area of work and medications; ability to gain the confidence of patients and to work effectively with them
• This position must have the ability to establish appropriate and respectful relationship/partnerships with persons serves and their families.
• Assist consumers in gaining skills to address problems
• Ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team approach
• Ability to set limits and maintain a helping role and to intervene appropriately to meet the needs of persons or families serves
• Works within the established professional guidelines and treatment plans developed for the profession and consumer served
• This position serves a wide range of consumers across a rural catchment area and must be sensitive and able to respond appropriately across the cultural differences present in the service population. Training requirements include awareness of the cultural diversity of consumers served. 
• Must be extremely accurate with regard to medication issues
• Must abide by the rules, regulations, and ethics policies of the state of Georgia Nursing Board
• Must be able to take vitals of consumer
• Must complete all documentation of sessions with consumer according to Grace Harbour policy
• Health and safety awareness and knowledge must be utilized and demonstrated in carrying out responsibilities and duties effectively
• Attend staff meetings as needed
• Completion of all company required training

Experience and Education:

• Graduation from a state accredited school of professional nursing
• Georgia license to practice as a Registered Nurse
