JOB SUMMARY:
The Therapist is an advanced professional position providing direct therapeutic services to identified mental health and substance abuse clients within the home and school environment. The therapist will be responsible for maintaining patient care in accordance with program guidelines and external standards (Joint Commission, Medicaid, etc.). The therapist will provide clinical services, specifically psychosocial assessments, and treatment planning to the following populace: individual, family and group therapy to children, adolescents, and adults.

MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop service, treatment, and discharge plans.
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions with adults, children, and families predominantly in a community setting (Home and School) in addition to outpatient and acute care inpatient settings.
- Accurate and timely documentation of clinical and administrative services in accordance with program guidelines and external standards (Joint Commission, Medicaid, etc.).
- Meets productivity requirements for the designated program through efficient workflow management.
- Maintains cooperative relationships with other internal departments and external agencies and keeps supervisor informed at all times of all relevant client, program, and community issues
- Understands the basic tenants of Co-Occurring disorders and the relationship between mental health and substance abuse. Therapist will also demonstrate knowledge of the age specific needs of the clients treated in the program.
- Other duties as assigned or needed as per program requirements.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Hold a Master’s with a Florida License and have one of the following licenses: LMHC, LMFT, LCSW or be a Registered Intern with at least 1 year of experience in the behavioral health field. Bilingual (English Spanish) is recommended.
- Computer knowledge should include Microsoft applications (Word, Excel) and Electronic Medical Records experience helpful.
- Demonstrated competency in children and adolescent patient therapy. May provide clinical oversight in a multidisciplinary team.
- Reliable transportation with liability insurance, a valid Florida driver’s license, and a good driving record are also required (minimum age requirement of 21 years of age or older).
- Ability to write reports, document mentoring services, and effectively communicate verbally with, provide information to, and respond to questions from managers, patients, service providers, managed care entities, family members, and other stakeholders.
- Preferably trained in wraparound, family systems, crisis intervention, teenager or young adult suicide prevention and trauma-informed care, or willingness to learn.
- Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds of dead weight alone. May be required to complete standing presentations
