Sheeter Operator Associate

Summary
Load, set-up, and run materials on the assigned sheeter as part of our production process. Monitor product quality while running the machine, and track counts to create the correct amount of master sheets. Set up and operate the cutter to trim product to final size. Separate product into proper size lifts to prepare material for packaging. This position is responsible for all jobs scheduled on a particular sheeter.
Level of Work
This position processes raw materials into in process goods ready for packaging. This associate will load master rolls of film onto the sheeter and set-up the sheeter to create the proper master sheet size. They will then operate the machine, monitoring the quality of the material and creating the needed amount of master sheets. They will also separate the sheets into properly sized lifts. This person will then set-up the cutter and trim the material to finished size. This position also is responsible for completing and maintaining associated job/production instructions and paperwork. The associate also supports the efforts of the Production Team Leader on an as needed basis.
Job Dimensions
Responsible for the daily operations of the sheeter and cutter for stock and make to order type jobs. Also responsible for completing the paperwork supporting sheeting jobs.
Essential Job Functions
Primary Responsibilities
- Run jobs based on priority established on the schedule or as directed by the team leader
- Pull appropriate raw materials from stock and load and set-up sheeter to sizes indicated on paperwork
- Determine the proper master sheet size if specifics are not indicated or discuss with the creator of the job if the master roll is of a different size than indicated
- Operate sheeter in an efficient manner to convert master rolls into master sheets for further processing
- Cut master sheets to final size as indicated on the job paperwork
- Monitor and ensure the quality of the materials in use at the sheeter
- Fill out schedules daily to indicate progress and any issues
- Accurately and quickly complete job paperwork to ensure proper reporting
- Put all unused materials back into stock and ensure the neatness of the warehouse
- Work with other employees to ensure a safe work environment
- Perform basic maintenance on sheeter including lubrication and monitoring of the status of the equipment
Physical Demands/Working Conditions
The employee must possess the ability to lift up to 80 lbs. repeatedly and must be able to walk, balance, bend, carry, push, reach, sit and stand. Must also be able to stand and operate for up to 7 hours. The employee must be able to hear, see and communicate verbally to exchange information. Manual dexterity to complete sheeting and cutting functions and work with production equipment daily.
Education/License Requirements
High School Graduate or equivalent
