Since 1985, Grand Aire, Inc., has been a leading air transportation service provider and management group, providing solutions for time critical material, passengers, human organs, and other goods, and has expanded into ground expedited freight. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of goods and materials throughout the supply chain. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to analyze data, and a keen understanding of transportation management systems.
Qualifications, Skills, and Responsibilities
- 2nd Shift -- 02:30 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday - Friday (We are a 24/7/365 day facility)
- 2 to 3 years of Customer Service.
- 2 to 3 years of Production Data Entry Skills.
- We are looking for someone with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- A considered candidate must possess the ability to handle time critical expedited material.
- Support all customer related inquiries regarding shipment status updates.
- Monitor/Maintain all load boards/e-mail folders to cover shipment needs.
- Utilize independent judgment, pertaining to pricing negotiations.
- Track orders in a timely/accurate manner and ensure the trips are up-to-date with all shipment details.
- Monitor shipment progress to ensure on-time delivery. Communicate with customers/vendors to ensure timely resolution of problems or delays.
- Assist in developing and maintaining positive relationships with vendors and customers
- Email and phone etiquette experience is required.
- Superb written communication skills
- Must be computer literate (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Knowledge of Sylectus Omitracs is a plus.
- This position requires the individual to often multi-task while remaining organized in a fast paced, dynamic setting.
- Provide effective problem resolution.
- Positive inter-departmental relationships and support.
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and stay calm under stressful &/or time critical situations.
