Daily Duties:
- Operates motorized heavy equipment and vehicles for mowing and snow removal operations.
- Maintains airport buildings and grounds; performs limited maintenance and repair of heating, ventilating, air conditioning, plumbing and electrical systems; provides updates to supervisors as needed.
- Maintains and repairs airfield lighting systems and landing aids; maintains and repairs airfield runways, taxiways and aprons including painting, mowing, minor pavement repairs, crack sealing, weed control and drainage.
- Maintains airport streets and parking lots, including painting lines, repairing signs, lighting, pavement repairs and crack sealing
Basic Requirements
- Basic requirements are a high school diploma or GED,
- A valid CDL or ability to earn a CDL with good driving record,
- Demonstrated evidence of experience in the above areas.
Work Hours & Pay
- The successful candidate must work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends and overtime. Rotating days and 10 hour day shifts, normally days with rotating weekend. However nights/weekends would be required in the event of snow removal or other issues/ emergencies that may arise. Non-traditional hours including nights, weekends and overtime are required.
- Starting hourly wage range between $19.99 - $20.73 DOQ plus benefits and overtime. Incentive pay of $5,000 annually available based on certain qualifications.
