This is a paid Hyatt internship program at the Grand Hyatt Denver for students seeking an understanding of the hospitality industry. This Operations Intern will focus on Stewarding and Banquets. The right person will gain experience in overall hotel Operations, giving them the opportunity to develop their career within Operations.
The responsibilities of the Banquets portion of the internship includes introduction into server responsibilities, supervising duties of Banquet Captains/Supervisors, room setup, preparation of events and execution of events in collaboration with Culinary and Stewarding.
The responsibilities of the Stewarding portion of the internship includes assisting in any area in the Stewarding Division. They are expected to support leadership by executing the daily strategy implemented for the team and hotel. This role will be the direct liaison between Culinary and Banquets for the Stewarding department. Other duties may include ensuring sanitation in all food production service areas, assisting with the Culinary team with food preparation, delivering food to hotel banquet space, confirming food safety standards are met, and assisting Stewards with tasks at-hand to ensure deadlines are met.
Candidates must have open availability for both AM/ PM shifts including holidays and weekends; will accommodate current school schedules if needed.
This is a paid Hyatt internship for students seeking an understanding of the hospitality industry. Students must secure their own housing.
$20.29 per hour

Qualifications
Qualifications for this position:
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
- Refined verbal communication skills.
- This position requires a considerable amount of standing
- 2 nd or 3 rd year student, studying hospitality or related major
- Continuous authorization to work in the U.S.
- Capable of a 10-week commitment but open to extensions.
- Sick pay - Earn (1) hour of sick pay for every (30) hours worked with a maximum of (48) Hours per year.
