Job Overview:
We are seeking a Shipper/ Loader to join our team. You will be responsible for operating a crane and a forklift to lift, move, and position heavy steel coils. This is a vital role in our organization that requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety.
This job is Monday - Friday 6:00am-2:30pm. We offer great benefits like vacation, PTO, paid health insurance, and off most major holidays.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Operate crane equipment and forklift to lift, move, and position coils
- Safely load and unload materials from trucks
- Follow established procedures and safety guidelines to ensure the safe operation of the crane
-Get signatures from drivers
-Print bills from computer and send email to customers
- Correctly read picklist to ensure that you are shipping the correct items listed
- Communicate with team members and truck drivers
-Help packaging crew when needed.
Skills:
- Experience operating cranes in a warehouse or distribution center setting
- Basic reading skills and computer skills
- Familiarity with shipping
