Summary:
The Regional Operations Manager will direct all distribution functions including order fulfillment, receiving, inventory control including cycle counting, delivery, management and development of KPI’s as well as facility management and maintenance. The Regional Operations Manager will ensure the department meets operation’s plan, sustains and expands a continuous improvement culture and environment and achieves and maintains best in class service levels
Essential Functions:
- Ensures all departments are staffed appropriately.
- Ensures department supervisors are managing all deliverables effectively.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to meet performance objectives.
- Oversee process, review and lead continuous improvement initiatives
- Implement approved process improvements.
- Promote and Champion best in class operational and service standards.
- Manage and develop KPI’s. Set goals, monitor/track and document progress.
- Develop and mentor staff, embracing cross training in all departments
- Develop medium and long-term operational plans to support service and operational excellence objectives.
- Set and manage budgets, manage expenses to budget identify cost efficiency opportunities and capture those costs efficiencies
- Make capital equipment purchase/replacement recommendations based on ROI’s and operational needs.
- Ensure all facility and equipment preventive maintenance programs are in place and completed
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum 10 years industrial experience including seven years managerial experience is required.
- Equivalent education or experience may be substituted for any of the above.
