About the role
- The Director of Food and Beverage provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for all Food and Beverage functions across Granite State Gaming & Hospitality (GSGH) properties. This role is accountable for aligning F&B operations with company goals, driving financial performance, enhancing guest satisfaction, and fostering a high-performing culture across venues. The Director partners closely with cross-functional leaders to ensure the guest experience, brand integrity, and business outcomes are consistently met or exceeded.
What you'll do
- Champion an exceptional and consistent Guest experience across all F&B touchpoints, guided by service excellence, innovation, and quality.
- Provide direct leadership and inspiration to property-level F&B teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and performance standards.
- Lead the development and execution of strategic business plans, including pricing strategy, product mix, marketing, and service models tailored to evolving consumer trends.
- Collaborate with executive leadership and finance teams to develop annual operating budgets, capital plans, and revenue targets. Monitor performance against key metrics and take proactive steps to improve profitability and guest engagement.
- Set, monitor, and enforce operational policies, procedures, and safety standards in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
- Drive a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement by coaching and mentoring leaders, fostering professional development, and promoting internal talent mobility.
- Analyze guest feedback, market trends, and business intelligence to make informed decisions and optimize operational and financial performance.
- Act as a key partner in company-wide initiatives, contributing expertise to multi-property expansion plans, vendor negotiations, and cross-departmental collaborations.
- Serve as a culture leader who demonstrates emotional intelligence, presence, and humility while encouraging high levels of engagement, trust, and inclusion across diverse teams.
- Monitor industry developments and market shifts to inform strategy, anticipate challenges, and identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
- Ensure that all brand, service, and cleanliness standards are rigorously maintained and consistently audited across all locations.
- Represent the Food & Beverage function with external partners, licensing authorities, and community stakeholders as needed.
- Lead key projects and strategic initiatives as assigned by executive leadership.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated success in leading multi-unit or multi-property Food & Beverage operations within hospitality, gaming, or entertainment industries.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing large budgets, forecasting, and driving bottom-line results.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to build and sustain high-performing teams across diverse functions and locations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in leveraging performance metrics and guest feedback systems to guide strategic actions.
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, sanitation, and liquor laws applicable to multi-property operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Experience navigating regulatory compliance in highly controlled environments such as gaming or foodservice licensing.
- Experience with hospitality systems (POS, procurement, inventory, reservation systems, etc.).
