What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Application Analyst position at Granite VNA?
Granite VNA is looking to add a second Clinical Applications Analyst to the team! We are looking for a Registered Nurse, Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist for this role.
Reporting to the Information Technology Director, the Clinical Applications Analyst is responsible for management of software implementations which includes installation, testing and education. Provides primary support for iOS devices and MDM. Provides technology support and work flow process analysis.
Essential Functions

- Provides primary support for all professional clinical field staff (e.g. RN, PT, OT, etc.)
- Participates in design and development of information systems for clinical practice.
- Maintain familiarity of all regulatory requirements that impact clinical systems.
- Becomes a resource for the assigned applications (e.g. MatrixCare EMR, MDM, ABM, Xen Mobile, Wandera, etc)
- Manages application upgrades to include project management - project analysis, testing, defect resolution, planning, implementation and training of staff.
- Provides workflow analysis and recommendations to ensure that technology is being used to its fullest extent.
- Manages the documentation and resolution of assigned staff support calls.
- Completes projects by coordinating resources and timetables with departments
- Ensures all project deliverables are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.
- Images laptops/desktops, as needed.
- Provides support for agency applications as requested.
- Troubleshoots basic technical issues with printers/fax machines and other electronic equipment.
- Provides secondary support for laptop, desktop users.
- Presents IT Educational Topics as assigned.
- Assists with new agency projects as requested.
- Develops knowledge of clinical processes in order to support the appropriate usage of all computer applications.
- Participates in weekend IT on call.
- May require travel to other agency locations.

- Enters weekly timesheet accurately and timely into system according to agency standards.

Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a practicing Nurse, Physical Therapist, or Occupational Therapist.
- Home Care or Hospice Experience preferred.
- Experience managing technology application testing and implementation.
- Experience managing iOS devices in a business setting preferred.
- Experience working in a healthcare setting.
- Analytical Skills -Ability to solve problems that may come up during a typical work day. Ability to analyze data and make decisions that affects projects on a regular basis.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills (ability to prioritize daily work in a prescribed order that promotes efficiency, timeliness and accuracy)
- Experience using project management software
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Computer competency (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access etc. required)
- Ability to develop, write, and present training and educational materials
- Ability to present technical information in an educational setting
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff
This is NOT a remote work position.
Expected Hours of Work
The employee will be scheduled to work Monday – Friday: 8:00AM – 4:30PM. Work assignments may require weekend, night and/or holiday assignments, including on-call coverage.
