Responsibilities
- Process payroll for employees on a regular schedule, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Maintain employee records related to payroll, including hours worked, deductions, and benefits.
- Collaborate with HR to ensure timely updates to employee information affecting payroll.
- Prepare and submit payroll reports to management as required.
- Handle inquiries related to payroll from employees and resolve any discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of year-end reports and tax filings.
- Utilize accounting software such as ADP, QuickBooks, UltiPro, or Kronos for payroll processing.
- Perform general ledger accounting tasks related to payroll entries.
Experience
- Proven experience in corporate accounting or payroll administration is essential.
- Proficiency in 10 key typing for efficient data entry.
- Familiarity with financial concepts and general ledger accounting practices.
- Experience using payroll systems such as ADP, UltiPro, or Kronos is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are a must.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
