Veterinary Assistant

Grays Harbor Veterinary Services is searching for a veterinary assistant to join our team!

We're looking for compassionate team players with exceptional communication and multi-tasking abilities. Candidates must be attentive, willing to jump in where needed, and have excellent time management skills.

This is a full-time role comprised of 4-10s/5-8s.

The ideal candidate:

• Current, hands-on veterinary experience
• High energy team players with excellent communication and multi-tasking abilities
• Great attention to detail, outgoing, and friendly
• Enjoys connecting with clients as well as the team
• Friendly personality and excellent customer service skills
• Remains calm in emotional, stressful, and fast-paced environments
• Committed to a career in veterinary medicine with interest in growth and ongoing training
• Experienced with (or familiar with) Avimark is a plus!

Skills and responsibilities (BOE)

• Client communication and education
• Radiographs
• Surgical prep and assistance
• Venipuncture and IVC placement
• Administering vaccines and injections
• Dental prophy and radiology
• Patient handling and restraint
• Microscopic evaluation

Full-time benefits and compensation:

• Compensation: $17-18/hr (based on experience)
