What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finance Manager position at Great Bay Kids?
The right candidate for this position will organize, direct, and control the finances of Great Bay Kids. As an administrator the candidate will work to create and implement policies and procedures that help problem-solve issues that arise within the school's finances. The position could be part or full time depending on the candidate. A hybrid option is available throughout the week.
Duties
*Report to the Executive Director
*Supervise and control the workflow of the business office through planning, implementing and evaluating procedures and efficiencies.
*Build yearly budget through collaboration with other administrators, prior year data, and research of upcoming years expenditures. Monitor actual expenses relative to budget with executive director.
*Accounts payable and receivable procedures.
*Annual audit working with auditors to prepare and produce final report.
*Prepare a financial dashboard per the board's request and specifications.
*Create regular financial reports/dashboards and actively attend Finance Committee Meetings
*Maintain regular contact with the Executive Director and attend and actively participate in regular administrative meetings as needed.
*Prepare a monthly board report for the Board to be submitted to Executive Director
*Accept comments and criticism from supervisors in a constructive manner.
Requirements
*Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
*3 years' experience in accounting and bookkeeping
*Strong understanding of GAAP and State Scholarship requirements.
