Financial Analyst - FP&A and Accounting

We're seeking a Financial Analyst who thrives in a high-growth environment and wants to play a key role in our expansion strategy. This is an exceptional opportunity to work alongside seasoned operators and support M&A activities, optimize operations, and build the data-driven insights that fuel our decision-making across our portfolio of marine electronics businesses.

Position Summary: Reporting to the Director of FP&A, this role balances financial planning & analysis responsibilities with essential accounting operations support. This position is ideal for a professional with 2–4 years of experience who wants to develop expertise in both strategic financial analysis and core accounting functions while supporting our rapid growth and M&A activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting Operations Support

• Lead month-end close processes and maintain general ledger accuracy
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and support audit/tax preparation
• Streamline financial processes and improve reporting tools as the company scales

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Conduct monthly budget vs. actual variance analysis with explanations to leadership
• Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes
• Develop financial models for business planning and scenario analysis
• Create executive dashboards and KPI reporting for key business metrics

Business Analytics & Insights

• Analyze sales trends, customer metrics, and operational performance
• Prepare management reporting packages with actionable insights
• Support pricing analysis and margin improvement initiatives

M&A Support

• Assist with financial due diligence on acquisition targets
• Support deal analysis, valuation work, and integration planning
• Help maintain standardized financial reporting across portfolio companies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field
• 2–4 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or accounting
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills required
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis preferred
• Experience working in a startup or high-growth environment preferred but not required
• Familiarity with ERP systems, reporting tools, and business intelligence platforms a plus
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into business insights
