What are the responsibilities and job description for the Baking Team Member position at Great Harvest Bread Co.?
Join our dynamic bake crew and learn how science and art come together in creating made-from-scratch breads and treats. No shortcuts in our bakery as everything is made by hand with only natural ingredients. Local bakery that serves the community on a retail basis. Learn on the kneading table to start, then graduate to the proof rack and oven and ultimately master Sponge & Dough and the mixer to be capable in all aspects of our fast-paced production process. We follow food safety protocols and maintain a clean environment along the way.
Demonstrate a willingness to work hard, have fun and learn. Be available to work early mornings and have flexibility to be scheduled through the last bake of the day. Around Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays we bake through the night due to increased demand.
Pleasant demeanor and team player work ethic and skills are required. Able to work with your hands and stand on your feet for extended periods. Baking experience is preferred, but our crew can train anyone with the willingness to jump in and learn.
High school education or equivalent completed or in process, but preference will be given to candidates whose schedule fits the early morning cycles.
