Essential Job Duties: To oversee and operate the various packaging equipment Switchback Boxer
Econocorp Boxer & Shanklin Overwrap, Quamtum.
- Set up the Packaging equipment and the packaging lines prior to start-up.
- Check that the proper products and/or ingredients are being used on the line based on the product being produced and to be packaged.
- Perform Packaging equipment changeovers.
- Monitor and record temperatures of ingredients and products as required.
- Fill out the “Production- Quality Packaging sheet”. Notify QA, Lead and/ or Supervisor of any production and/or quality issues.
- Fill out the Downtime report. Notify Lead, Supervisor and /or Maintenance of any mechanical issues or equipment damage.
- Properly label any raw materials (ingredients) or finished goods that are left over from the run and cover these and store under refrigeration or in freezer. Notify Lead and/or Supervisor of these items.
- Report any production issues or potential issues to the Lead person and/or Supervisor.
- Report any quality issues or potential issues to the Quality Tech, Lead person and or QC Supervisor.
- Report any safety issues or potential issues to the Lead person, Supervisor and/ or Safety Manager.
- Watch for & report any suspicious activities or unusual observations to authorized personnel.
- Keep work area clean and organized at all times.
- Troubleshoot minor machine issues and/or notify maintenance of issues that require repair.
- Complete required paperwork.
- Complete all other duties assigned by shift supervisor.
Essential Job Requirements:
- Good English skills, able to read and write labels, instructions and code dates.
- Bilingual language skills in Portuguese, Creole and/or Spanish a plus.
- Basic math skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Leadership skills and able to direct line staff.
- Work with and mentor Temporary employees.
- Self-motivated.
- Mechanical ability.
- Attention to detail.
- Able to lift 50lbs and stand on feet for 10-12 hours/day. Able to bend, reach and squat.
Work Conditions:
- Hot and cold temperatures (Hot 80-90F & Cold 35-45F)
- High noise levels in some areas of the plant.
- Sudden schedule changes during seasonal volumes.

Minimum Education & Experience: High School Diploma, GED, 3 years associated experience within the field of packaging or food environment.
Salary : $36,900 - $46,700
