Responsibilities
- Establishes efficient production processes for all the company’s product lines.
- Regularly train employees in methods of improving production processes.
- Responsible for training employees on skilled positions such as, material handlers, machine and texwrap operators (all levels).
- Educate each operator in the proper performance of their particular job
- Ensure line workers and operators are performing at maximum capability.
- Inspects production lines regularly to assure that Good Manufacturing Practices and safety regulations are followed.
- Makes certain that production areas are kept clean of waste, debris, and liquids to avoid safety hazards.
- Monitors employee compliance with company regulations. Coaches employees to ensure compliance. Works with supervisor for disciplinary actions.
- Equipment settings, fill and update the paper work by equipment and line
- Effectively communicates as required with supervisor.
- Resolves quality problems with QA participation immediately.
- Responsible for upholding, following and maintaining the requirements of the SQF Food Safety Code for Manufacturing.
- Serves as mentor for sponsors.
- Other duties as may be assigned or volunteered for.
- Good communications skills, hardworking, dependable, safety conscious and bilingual, English/Spanish preferred.
- High School; or Equivalent.
- 2-5 years of training or Supervisory experience in food production.
- Knowledgeable of USDA and OSHA regulations.
- To be able to communicate, coach, and train line production workers to optimize production. Must have the ability to make critical decisions, coach and and expedite solutions when situations arise.

- 2-5 years of training or Supervisory experience in food production.

- Bilingual, English/Spanish preferred
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Work standing or walking for long periods of time.
- Work bending and squatting.
- Work making fast and repetitive hand motions.
- Work in cold refrigerated and frozen conditions.
- And able to push/pull heavy loads using hand jack.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed outside weather conditions, wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, and extreme cold.
- The noise level in the work environment is often moderate to loud.
- Ability to work different shifts and weekends.
- Report any issues regarding food safety or quality to supervision and/or quality assurance.
- Report any risks or any evidence of unsafe or out-of-specification product, equipment, packaging or raw materials to a designated manager to enable the resolution of issues requiring immediate attention.
