MSHS Interventions Specialist - Fremont, OH
Full Time - 36 hours per week, Monday thru Thursday, 7am-4pm
Pay starting at $25.06 per hour based on experience
Summary: Provides intervention support to teaching teams when there are significant behavioral or social-emotional concerns displayed in the classroom using trauma informed care strategies.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in ECE, Early Intervention or related field.
Experience:
Three to five years’ experience working with special needs children with behavioral or social-emotional behaviors in a classroom setting. One to three years’ experience with word processing, spreadsheet, internet, and database software.
As a condition of employment, the following are additional requirements:
- Initial and periodic Motor Vehicle Records checks, maintain a valid driver’s license, and maintain a safe driving record.
- Must have insured, dependable transportation available for daily use.
- Initial and periodic physical exams required.
- Must submit to initial and/or periodic state and/or federal criminal checks.
- Must submit to initial and periodic drug and alcohol testing.
- Ability to be reached by cellular phone during business hours and after hours.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on support and coaching for teachers when there are significant behavioral or social-emotional concerns, using trauma-informed practices and Conscious Discipline strategies.
- Recommend and demonstrate strategies for supporting the children’s social-emotional needs in the classroom.
- Assist Inclusion Team in the Tier 2 targeted connections process and provide assistance to teaching teams.
- Facilitate team meetings to ensure all component areas are consulted.
- Coordinate with Mental Health Specialist as appropriate to provide strategies to teaching teams and families.
- Conduct and/or assist in staff and parent trainings as requested.
- File and maintain documentation on all children services and service delivery systems; maintain information of a confidential nature regarding families, disabilities and mental health issues.
- Assist with completing reports as requested.
- Other duties and responsibilities as directed by supervisor.
