Lead the Technology That Supports Exceptional Patient Care
Great Lakes Medical Imaging is seeking an experienced and hands-on Manager of Information Technology to lead IT operations across GLMI and Great Lakes Medical Billing. This role oversees day-to-day IT services, manages complex healthcare technology systems, and ensures technology solutions support clinical excellence, operational efficiency, and business growth.The IT Manager works closely with physicians, leadership, vendors, and internal teams while serving as a coach and mentor to the IT department.

Leadership & People Management
- Lead and manage the overall IT department
- Recruit, interview, and onboard IT team members
- Develop staff schedules, manage PTO, and approve timecards
- Conduct annual performance evaluations and support professional development
- Coach, mentor, and provide ongoing feedback to team members
- Partner with Human Resources on disciplinary processes as needed
- Ensure leadership practices align with GLMI policies and values
Department & Strategic Responsibilities
- Oversee IT support for internal and external clients
- Develop and manage IT budgets; monitor and report expenditures
- Establish and enforce IT policies, including HIPAA security standards
- Ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met
- Create and manage system downtime, backup, and disaster recovery procedures
- Oversee vendor relationships and after-hours project strategies
- Collaborate closely with physicians, administration, and department leaders
- Participate in leadership, team, and vendor meetings
Technical Oversight
- Oversee user accounts, access rights, credentials, and directory structures
- Manage phone systems, printers, fax/scanning hardware, and maintenance
- Oversee internal and external IT support, network sites, and hardware
- Manage file transfers, billing system interfaces, and troubleshooting
- Oversee RIS/PACS systems in collaboration with Clinical Applications leadership
- Develop and maintain modality network connections
- Support radiologist reading stations and clinical workflows
- Lead IT setup for new sites, including hardware and software installation
- Track outages, downtime, and root cause analyses; report to leadership
- Ensure corporate IT compliance with regulatory requirements
- Serve as the primary contact for external IT consultants
- Manage IT projects from planning through implementation
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 3 years of experience leading IT operations and supervising technical teams
- Strong knowledge of systems administration, networks, security, and data storage
- Proven leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- Project management experience and strong problem-solving abilities
- Healthcare, radiology, or medical terminology experience preferred
