This position is responsible for keeping the bar fully stocked, clean, and organized so bartenders can focus on delivering excellent guest experiences. A successful Barback is proactive, dependable, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.ResponsibilitiesBar Operations & SupportStock and restock liquor, beer, wine, garnishes, ice, glassware, and bar supplies throughout service.Maintain par levels and notify bartenders or managers when inventory is low.Assist bartenders during peak service to ensure fast and efficient drink service.Set up the bar before service and break down and clean the bar after service.Cleanliness & OrganizationKeep bar stations, storage areas, and walk-ins clean, organized, and sanitary.Remove trash, recyclables, and empty kegs or bottles promptly.Wash, polish, and restock glassware.Ensure bar mats, counters, floors, and equipment are clean and safe.Inventory & DeliveriesReceive, check, and properly store bar deliveries.Rotate stock using FIFO (first-in, first-out) standards.Assist with inventory counts as needed.Safety & ComplianceFollow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards, and alcohol-service regulations in compliance with Department of Health (DOH) regulations.Report safety hazards, equipment issues, spills, broken glass, unsafe conditions or sanitation concerns promptly.Handle glassware, chemicals, and equipment safely.Team SupportCommunicate clearly with bartenders and managers during serviceAnticipate needs and respond quickly in a fast-paced environmentSupport special events, banquets, and high-volume services as assignedQualifications1–2 years of experience as a Barback or in a high-volume bar or restaurant preferredKnowledge of bar operations, beer, wine, and liquor basics a plusAbility to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized under pressureStrong attention to detail and cleanlinessAbility to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs.
