What are the responsibilities and job description for the Credit Analyst / Loan Assistant position at Great Rivers Bank?
Position Summary: Responsible for conducting high level analysis on commercial/business loans. Supports lending officers in completing credit memorandums for new and existing bank relationships. The credit analyst will also assist in loan review of large customer relationships.
Job Duties
- Analyzes financial statements (balance sheet and profit and loss) and income tax returns on commercial loans. Includes key performance ratio analysis.
- Utilizes bank developed financial analysis formats to build a historical financial base.
- Assists lender in credit memorandum (LARs and Narratives) on new and existing relationships: · In-depth historical financial analysis; · In-depth projection financial analysis, including "what if/stress test" scenarios that test the reasonableness of the projections; · In-depth analysis of the secondary sources of repayment, such as collateral; · balance sheet trends and issues; · In-depth analysis of guarantor's financial position; · Develop cash flow analysis;
- Collects and maintains industry data. Researches industry specific information from outside sources, including conversations with the borrower, industry publications, internet, etc.
- Review credit reports
- Provide financial insight to lenders regarding strengths and weakness of borrowers.
- Assist in SBA, FSA and other special loan programs. including application preparation, monitoring and liquidation.
- Complete loan reviews as scheduled in a timely manner
- Performs analysis of key bank vendors on an annual basis for Vendor Management program.
- Various report creation and data input
- Perform as a team member in allocating and coordinating the work flow.
- Contribute to the fulfillment of department, market and company objectives and goals.
- Comply with all department and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in a business related field preferred
- High School diploma or GED required
- 3-5 years of banking or financial related field

Pay: $35,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
