FULL-TIME, JAIL-BASED SUDP OPPORTUNITY

(PROVIDING COMMUNITY BASED TREATMENT)

ABERDEEN, WASHINGTON

(SERVICING GRAYS HARBOR COUNTY AREA)

Supplemental Information
Hourly Range:   - $22.60 - $32.21 Hourly ($47,000 - $67,000 annually) (DOE)

Qualifications


Who should apply?

  • Substance Use Disorder Professional licensed with Department of Health.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 years’ experience working as a SUDP is preferred.
  • High energy, creative individuals who have a passion for working with Youth and Families
  • Positive, solutions oriented clinicians
  • Therapists skilled at engaging and motivating youth to achieve participation in services
  • Ability to meet with clients and colleagues in homes and community locations as needed
  • Valid driver’s license & current automobile insurance, reliable transportation with an acceptable driving record

 Some of what you will do:

  • Assess in person and zoom in some cases and identify the treatment services individual in service should receive are based on severity of substance use diagnosis, stage of change and immediate needs, and recommend treatment objectives for the individual in service individual in service’s service plan.
  • Contribute to the program's ongoing assessment of participant’s SUD treatment needs and mental illness symptoms and participant’s response to treatment. Shares observations and concerns with team members for consultation and direction and takes appropriate action.
  • Develop comprehensive service plans that include built in review and evaluation points, and modifies the service plan in collaboration with the individual in services support system.
  • Document participant progress to maintain a permanent record of activity according to the agency's established methods and procedures.
  • Provide individual relapse prevention, harm reduction and substance abuse counseling based on motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral responses to mental illness and substance abuse.

 This position is grant funded through 12/31/2022.
