What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver/Transporter position at Great South Harley-Davidson?
We are looking to hire a Driver who will perform the duties of a transporter to safely transport motorcycles in a timely manner and to keep our lot organized and clean. We value our employees and invest in their success! Driver applicants MUST have a Valid Drivers License, a GOOD driving record, and a motorcycle endorsement. CDL is helpful, but not required. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Safely pick up and deliver motorcycle parts locally
- Perform DOT daily checklists
- Park, retrieve, and move motorcycles to assist customers and staff
- Maintain parking lots in an organized manner
- Interact with customers professionally
Requirements:
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Valid Driver's License and a GOOD driving record and motorcycle endorsement.
- CDL is helpful, but not required.
- Ability to push, move, and/or ride an 800 lb. motorcycle is required.
- A positive attitude, good work ethic, and well-groomed appearance.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Works well independently
- High school diploma
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and be a current resident.
- Must pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, and drug screening.
