- Ensures that student conduct conforms to the school's standards and school district policies and establishes and maintains standards of student behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom.
- Familiarity with Illustrative Mathematics or a problem-based resource is preferred but not required.
- Deep knowledge of current pedagogical practice.
- Knowledge of a wide range of mathematic subject areas, including arithmetic equations, calculus, trigonometry, geometry, and other related areas.
- Demonstrate a reflective and solutions-oriented disposition during problem-solving opportunities, collaboration with colleagues, team leaders, and school leadership to improve instructional, cultural, and leadership systems and structures.
- Ability to use computer network system and software applications as needed.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents.
- Effectively integrates technology into the math classroom to enhance learning. Experience with the following tools recommended but not required; Microsoft Class Notebook, Canvas, and Desmos.
- Strong organizational, planning and record keeping skills.
- Positive mindset and drive for personal excellence.
- Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students.
