Front Load Driver

POSITION SUMMARY:

A Front Load Driver is responsible for operating a front-end loader truck to collect and transport waste from residential and commercial areas to the designated landfill site.

This is a 6 day a week position.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate a front-end loader truck to collect and transport waste from various locations to the landfillsite
• Ensure proper loading of waste into the truck and secure it for transport
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck to ensure it is in safe working condition
• Follow all traffic laws and regulations while operating the truck
• Maintain accurate records of waste collection and disposal
• Communicate effectively with other team members and supervisors
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on the truck as required
• Adhere to company policies and procedures for safety and environmental compliance

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to push and pull loaded garbage cans
• Ability to stand, walk, repeated bending, and stoop for extended periods of time
• Ability to climb in and out of the truck multiple times per day
• Ability to sit inside the cab of your truck for long period of times
• Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold
• Ability to work under pressure in a sometimes stressful environment
