We are looking for a motivated and detail oriented Quality Control Specialist with excellent adaptability and fast-learning capabilities. In this role, you will be instrumental in upholding the highest standards of quality by overseeing and enhancing our quality control programs.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, implement, and assist in development of quality control programs
- Depending on the area assigned to you ensure adherence to all dimensional quality control programs, welding patterns, and standards
- Assist in training new employees, ensuring compliance with our quality and safety standards
- Conduct inspections of sub-arc welds and assess the quality and strength of completed welds
- Suggest alternative welding techniques and demonstrate correct wedding procedures
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring that welders adhere to company standards
- Be observant, analytical, and possess strong communication skills
- Duties, responsibilities, and reporting relationships may fluctuate or evolve in light of your skill, experience, and the company’s needs
The work environment is primarily indoors, and will, at times, be exposed to natural weather elements such as heat, cold, sunlight, darkness, wind, rain, lightning, snow, and dust. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Qualifications
- The ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
- The ability to pass a pre-employment background check
- Prior experience in quality control or quality assurance, preferably in the metal building, construction, or manufacturing industries
- Experience with welding and welding inspection
- Knowledge of Quality Control procedures and standards
- Strong attention to detail, observation, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication, listening, and problem solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team
Compensation and Benefits
- $22.00 - $26.40 per hour, depending on experience
