We Are Looking to Add a Key Member to Our Enterprise Technology Group!
The Data Architect is responsible for the overall data design, modeling, and standards for all of GreatAmerica’s databases, while balancing those responsibilities against the business needs of the company. We are looking for an experienced architect with strengths in defining and implementing a long term data strategy for our current and future data needs.
As a Data Architect, you'll
  • Use Your Analytical Mind! Design and build database architectures and data models, including but not limited to application databases, data warehousing, and business intelligence solutions
  • Be Accountable! Provide consulting support to Business Operation Leaders, Product Team Leaders, Architects, Program Managers, Enterprise Technology Group leaders and Team Members.
  • Be an Active listener and Problem Solver! Evaluate and recommend new database technologies.
  • Be Detail Oriented Establish, document, and follow-up on data standards for programmers.
  • Be a Bridge Builder! Foster strong relationships with business and technical users to aid in the understanding of how the evolving business needs will impact data architecture
  • Be Solution Driven! Provide guidance in performance improvements.
  • Have Leadership and Team Support! Work with Product Engineering, Infrastructure, Enterprise Security and Data Management team to ensure that delivered solutions align with the intended designs and Information Security standards/policies to execute our mission to help our customers achieve greater success.
To be successful in this role you’ll need
  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or related area.
  • In-depth knowledge of database methodology, data modeling and design, business intelligence concepts, ETL. Advanced SQL Certifications and/or ITIL Knowledge is a plus
