Job Summary:
The Greater Baltimore Committee seeks a detailed-oriented administrative assistant to support our Business & Economic Investment and Policy & Research teams. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in facilitating the efficient functioning of daily operations and activities contributing to successfully achieving the goals of those respective teams. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to multitask.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a liaison between team members, external partners, and stakeholders;
- Coordinate meetings, conferences, and events related activities;
- Manage calendars for team members, schedule appointments, and coordinate travel arrangements;
- Prepare, edit, and format documents, reports, and presentations;
- Maintain accurate records and databases, ensuring data integrity;
- Conduct research on economic or policy related areas, potential projects, and relevant data to support decision-making;
- Assist in the preparation of grant applications, proposals, and project budgets;
- Handle general administrative tasks, including email correspondence, and phone inquiries.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or a General Education Development (GED) certificate, at minimum, required;
- Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant or in a similar role;
- Strong organizational and time-management skills;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other relevant software;
- Familiarity with economic development concepts and Maryland legislative process is a plus, but not necessary;
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality;
- Experience working in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
