What are the responsibilities and job description for the Eligibility Coordinator Gilchrist position at Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC)?
Works with, and assists, other CRNP in the performance of Face to Face Encounters and in the evaluation of the Expanded Care Program requests. In coordination with the Intake/Referral Center, conducts the Medical Records Abstraction process. Serves as primary care provider for selected patients referred by GHC and Gilchrist Greater Living who are in need of home-based medical care.Education:
Successful completion of certified nurse practitioner program. Licensures/Certifications:
Current licensure as an adult nurse practitioner by the Board of Medical Examiners of Maryland/Maryland State Board of Examiners of Nurses.
Completion of health care CPR course annually.
Experience:
5 years of experience functioning as a nurse practitioner in a clinical setting.
Prior experience in a clinical hospice role is desired.
Prior experience in a quality assurance or utilization review role is desirable.
Skills:
*Broad knowledge of medical treatment practices, especially internal medicine, geriatrics, and oncology,
*Knowledge of healthcare regulatory agency standards for hospice/ health care organizations.
*Knowledge of The Joint Commission (TJC) and CMS principles and standards.
*Familiarity with Part A Hospice Medicare and insurance coverage processes preferred.
*Ability to operate independently and to balance multiple priorities.
*Strong leadership, interpersonal, and influencing skills necessary to interact effectively with physicians, payers, regulatory agencies, staff, and other health professionals.
*Skill in using computers and personal productivity applications.
*Skill in written and oral communication.
*Ability to interact effectively with patients and families.
*Skill in reviewing, analyzing, and developing clinical summaries of patient electronic medical records.
Pay Range
$82,774.65 - $137,823.94Final salary offer will be based on the candidate's qualifications, education, experience and alignment with our organizational needs.
