Position: Survey Project Assistant
Supervisor: Survey Project Coordinator
Location: GLAD
Classification: 100% FTE, non-exempt, Position ends February 2026
Program Description:
Under the direction of the Survey Project Coordinator, the Survey Project Assistant will collaborate with one Regional Center (RC) to assist in developing a more inclusive survey for current RC consumers who are Deaf hard of hearing (D/HH) and Deaf Plus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Survey Project Coordinator, the Survey Project Assistant:
- Design and develop inclusive survey questionnaires for the Deaf Plus community to gather relevant and accurate data
- Implement surveys utilizing different communication modes
- Coordinate 8 two-hour focus groups with RC deaf plus clients
- Meet with individuals at their residence or neutral place of their choosing if a group setting is not feasible
- Collaborate with a vendor that does survey outcome
- Collects, reviews and prepares progress and statistical reports on a quarterly basis.
- Performs such tasks and responsibilities as may be delegated
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree is required in the area of human services field
- Ability to use different communication modes utilizing ASL is required
- Experience in conducting surveys
- Have at least one year’s experience working with the deaf plus population
- Demonstrated efficiency in MS Office programs is required.
- Be detail-oriented with strong organization and written communication skills. Must prioritize and handle multiple tasks, sometimes with competing deadlines
- Must maintain the highest level of confidentiality. Demonstrated ability to perform professionally. Punctuality and reliability are a must.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and maintain a cooperative relationship with co-employees, directors, employers and the CEO.
- Travel is required throughout Los Angeles, Orange County, Riverside and vicinity service areas.
- Must have reliable transportation and maintain up-to-date auto insurance.

Salary Range: $31.25 - $32.69 Hourly ($65,000-$68,000 Yearly)
