The Accounting Assistant works in cooperation with the CFO and other employees in the Fiscal office to complete required daily, monthly, and yearly responsibilities. Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by performing the following duties.

Education and Experience:
Required:
Associate’s Degree in accounting
Minimum of 3 years of experience working in the accounting field
Working knowledge of accounting principles
Working knowledge of MS software and Excel.
Ability to work independently
Preferred:
Ability to work effectively and communicate as part of the fiscal team.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
1. Accounts Receivables.
2. Assists in Preparing month and year end reports and assist on agency audits.
3. Assist with Accounts Payable
4. Reviews, investigates, and resolves errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
5. Assist with filing
6. Tracking maintenance supply inventory
7. Maintaining spreadsheets
8. All other duties as assigned
