POSITION DESCRIPTION

Title: Leasing Manager

Category: Leasing

Supervisor: Director of Property Management

General Description: The Leasing Manager, under the supervision of Director of Property Management, is responsible for the customary tasks associated with property management. This position requires an individual to perform work autonomously, while remaining accountable to high level of detail, established systems and processes, and supervisory structure. Interact effectively with other and a commitment to serve modest-income residents (respond calmly and appropriately to resident’s needs and life crisis situations), and maintain confidentiality of information. Prerequisites include the ability to work and supervise effectively despite interruptions; plan, organize, and prioritize own work; use related software and standard office equipment. A strong background in customer service, experience in property management or similar work environment, and or a past management/leadership role is extremely helpful.

Primary responsibility areas are as follows (not comprehensive, and without details of daily responsibilities):

1. Oversight of daily Leasing Operations, including following processes and procedures related to fair housing. Have the ability to problem-solve effectively with minimal supervision, while completing all assigned duties with the highest level of organization. Establish monthly department goals and team meetings, by maintaining open communication, and collaborate with other Manager’s and Directors. Manage prospect tenancy data with Yardi property management software and paper files to ensure compliance with Government occupancy restrictions and regulatory requirements. Consistently follow prospect screening criteria and application and renewal processes that include, following all necessary compliance duties to maintain regular monitoring from CHFA, DOLA, PRC, City Home and FHLB. Consistently oversee incidents and resolution, by conducting ongoing on-site inspections periodically throughout the year, and to ensure all units are compliance per the funding requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Understanding and deep commitment to agency mission, affordable housing advocacy, client relations and stability, and outstanding written, verbal, and technical skills.

2. Experience in tax credit or the ability to obtain HCCP certificate.

3. Highschool diploma required.

4. Two year’s minimum in housing or related field.

5. Good understanding of systems, technology, and adherence to agency reputation, direction, and mission.

6. Professional presentation, detailed oriented/organization with the ability to work independently while actively creating efficiencies in the workplace.

7. Must be able to problem-solve and have the ability to resolve challenging matters quickly and effectively.

8. The ability to work in a face pace environment, and perform at a level that meets and exceeds expectations.

9. Acceptable criminal, credit, and driving history.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. 2 year in housing or related field.

2. Experience in budgeting process, monthly reporting to include financial reports and board reports.

3. Knowledge of Yardi, and related IT/software.

4. HCCP certificate.

5. Lease-up experience is a plus.

6. Management of tax credit properties.

7. Bilingual is a plus and preferred.

Compensation: $23.00 per hour

Location: GH Admin office; remote work: none

Status: Regular, Full-time

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $47,800.00 - $58,000.00 per year
