As a Smoke Damage Restoration Technician, you will be on the front lines providing specialized cleaning & restoration services for folks affected by the recent wildfires along the Central California Coast. This is a demanding position that requires patience, perseverance and attention to detail. The work can be tedious at times but at the end of the day, you will take pride in knowing your efforts made a difference in someone’s life and well-being. To qualify, you need to be a self-starter who can work independently but can function as an integral part of our team. You must be reliable, punctual, and willing to learn. Possibilities for additional training and advancement exist.
Responsibilities
- Perform tasks related to smoke damage restoration of both structures and contents (HEPA vacuuming, general cleaning/wipe-down, administering ozone treatments, etc.)
- Follow industry and company remediation protocols to the letter
- Transport equipment to and from work sites
- Compile and maintain records (work logs, inventory lists, photos, etc.) as needed
- Clean and maintain equipment
- Adhere to company standards for appearance and comportment
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience/technical proficiency in smoke damage restoration—IICRC certification (FSRT and/or OCT) a plus
- Awareness of health and safety issues related to indoor air quality
- Ability to adapt to varied work schedules and flexible shifts
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in personal protective equipment including full facemask/breathing apparatus
- Willingness to work in isolated areas
- Mission-oriented mindset with exacting attention to detail
- Excellent customer service, communication and self-management skills
- Clean driving record
