About Us: Green Life Farms is a leading provider of hydroponic produce, committed to sustainable and high-quality products. We are seeking a skilled Greenhouse Technician to join our team at our Lake Worth, Florida facility.

Summary: The Greenhouse Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing the mechanical systems and equipment used in a controlled-environment greenhouse facility. This includes HVAC systems, irrigation equipment, conveyance systems, seeding and harvesting machines, plumbing, and general facility infrastructure. The technician plays a critical role in ensuring the continuous, efficient operation of systems that support plant production. This position reports to the Farm Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect, maintain, and repair greenhouse equipment, including pumps, fans, heaters, cooling systems, and hydroponic systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues within greenhouse operations.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on machinery and facility systems.
• Calibrate and adjust automation systems (e.g., climate controls, fertigation units) for optimal performance.
• Support installation of new equipment or system upgrades.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service records.
• Work closely with growers and operations teams to ensure equipment supports crop health and productivity.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Respond promptly to urgent repair needs to minimize downtime.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required, technical certification or associate’s degree in mechanics, HVAC, or a related field preferred.
• Experience with electrical systems required.
• 2 years of experience in a mechanical or maintenance role, preferably in a greenhouse, agricultural, or industrial setting.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and greenhouse automation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Skilled in the use of power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic devices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a hot, humid, and fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Comfortable with heights (Working on greenhouse roof).

Work Environment:

• Majority of time spent in a greenhouse and facility maintenance setting.
• Exposure to fluctuating temperatures, humidity, chemicals (fertilizers, cleaning agents), and machinery noise.

Schedule: 8 hr. shift or until job is done. Weekend availability.

Pay Range: $20-$26 (pay based on experience)
